Me in my favorite t-shirt from Amplify Georgia Collaborative. 100% of proceeds go to my local abortion fund, ARC-Southeast!

Born and raised in Georgia and descended from a long line of Southerners, I learned early on the importance of moving slowly, with intention; building and caring for community; showing up, for others and yourself; and making time to tend to your heart, your spirit, and the people you love.

I am a researcher and advocate who studies domestic sexual and reproductive health (SRH) policy, structural determinants of access to and use of comprehensive SRH care and downstream health outcomes, and multilevel SRH stigma and mis/disinformation. My work is grounded in and guided by the Reproductive Justice (RJ) framework, coined by 12 Black women in 1994 and long-advocated for by Black and Indigenous people, and the work of people of color-led RJ organizations in the South. Accordingly, I pay particular attention to SRH equity and the experiences of people living in the South. I am privileged to collaborate closely with several local and national reproductive health, rights, and justice organizations to support and conduct community-led and community-driven SRH research.

I live in Atlanta with some critters and a huge garden that I love (love loveeee) to tend. I am a proud Virgo, 18+ year vegetarian, and trained yoga teacher. Some of my favorite things include tattoos, flowers, writing, being barefoot, swimming holes, and moving my body. I believe we all need a good, long rest.
